EVE-O/APM Preview on a tablet screen
There are two easy ways to get EVE-O Preview or APM Preview displaying on a tablet or other Android device, with touch support:
SuperDisplay
Spacedesk
Both options let your tablet act like an extra monitor for Windows, so you can move your EVE preview windows onto the tablet screen in a 2x2 etc grid.
Option 1: SuperDisplay
SuperDisplay is the cleaner paid option.
You will need:
SuperDisplay Android app
SuperDisplay Windows driver
$15 perpetual license
Setup
- Install SuperDisplay on your Android tablet.
- Download and install the SuperDisplay Windows driver from the official SuperDisplay website.
- Connect the tablet to the PC.
- Let Windows detect the tablet as another display.
- Open Windows Display Settings and position the tablet where you want it in your monitor layout.
- Move your EVE-O / APM Preview windows onto the tablet display.
SuperDisplay costs $15 for a perpetual license and has a 3-day trial.
Option 2: Spacedesk
Spacedesk is the free option.
You will need:
Spacedesk Driver for Windows 10/11
Spacedesk Viewer app for Android
Setup
- Install the Spacedesk Driver on your Windows 10/11 PC.
- Install the Spacedesk Viewer app on your Android tablet.
- Make sure the PC and tablet are on the same network.
- Open Spacedesk Viewer on the tablet and connect to your PC.
- Windows should detect the tablet as another display.
- Open Windows Display Settings and position the tablet where you want it.
- Move your EVE-O / APM Preview windows onto the tablet display.
After the tablet is connected
Once the tablet is working as a second screen:
- Open EVE-O Preview or APM Preview.
- Drag and arrange your preview windows on the tablet display. ( I use a 2x2 grid with a hidden preview since I use 5 accounts)
- Resize the previews to fit your tablet resolution.
- Save your layout if the preview tool supports it.
Which one should you use?
Use SuperDisplay if you want a smoother, cleaner setup and do not mind paying for it.
Use Spacedesk if you want a free option and are okay with doing a little more setup.
